This time of year is second highest to the holidays for electronic sales.
Jim Barry is known as the Digital Answer Man. He told Mike and Sheinelle as students head back to school sales of electronics increase. Barry previewed some favorites that can actually help students.
Barry likes the new iPad. He likes the touch screen and apps. The iPad starts at $500.
The Ideapad is another option. This netbook has the real keyboard and flips and folds over to become a tablet. Netbooks do not have a DVD drive. The Ideapad costs about $500.
The Kindle is still one of Barry's favorites. The newest Kindle can hold 1,500 books. And some sell for as little as $139. "It feels like a book and if you read a lot, the e-ink, and e-paper, very easy on the eyes."
Barry also recommends checking out the Samsung Captiva Smartphone that sells for $199 and the Swann Pen Camcorder for $99.
Monster CleanTouch is the perfect product to keep your screens clean. It costs $19.95.
