Ign reports today that the MGM,despite their recent financial troubles are planing to bring back the Robocop franchise,along with other notable and absent franchises,like Poltergeist.


Officer Murphy may get OCP'd once again, as MGM is rumored to resume plans for a RoboCop remake.

Variety reports that the studio, ever since resolving their recent financial troubles, are re-starting plans to remake the 1987 Paul Verhoven action movie, along with several other titles MGM deems reboot worthy.

The other titles include: A remake of the Michael Keaton-comedy Mr. Mom, a remake of director Taylor Hackford's The Idolmaker and either a remake or sequel to Tobe Hooper's Poltergeist.
