This weekend Justin TV will be hosting StartupCraft, a Starcraft II tournament featuring members of San Francisco bay area tech startups to benefit the Child's Play organization. The event will take place on Saturday, October 2 from 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will be streamed live online on Justin.TV's website and right here on IGN starting at 1 p.m. PST.

The event will consist of both 4v4 and 2v2 competitions throughout the day, leading up to tiered finals matches in the evening, followed by an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. The teams will consist of representatives from companies such as Yammer, Smule, Flickr, Twitter, YouTube, IGN, Justin.TV and more. Product partners for the event include Alienware, Razer, Astro Gaming, Jinx Clothing, and IPEVO.

Again, the event is for the benefit of Child's Play, an awesome organization devoted to providing children in over 60 hospitals worldwide with games and toys through donations and fundraisers like this. Each competing team has been asked to make a donation to the cause, and viewers are encouraged to contribute as well.

In addition to hosting the live stream via the player above, IGN will be matching all donations made up to $3,000.

Be sure to tune in this Saturday at 1:00p.m. PST and watch as tech industry heavyweights battle for StarCraft II supremacy!
