To say that a sequel to the ground-breaking 1982 sci-fi adventure film Tron is "much anticipated" would be a crass under-statement. This December, 28 years later, Disney will finally unleash Tron: Legacy, with Oscar winner Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn, the CEO of ENCOM. In Legacy, Kevin has been missing for 20 years, trapped inside a cyber-world of his own design. His 27-year-old son Sam, played by Garrett Hedlund, has grown up with a large (cyber) chip on his shoulder thinking his father abandoned him.
So, of course, Sam is destined to seek out his missing dad, but in order for Sam to survive a dark, cutthroat computer world run by CLU 2 (a dastardly cyber-Jeff Bridges at age 35 a la the OG Tron), he's going to need someone to watch his back in the digital dimension. Enter Olivia Wilde (House, the upcoming Cowboys & Aliens) as Quorra; a total badass babe who can kung-fu her way through any rogue program that gets in her way. Quorra is violent, sexy and her expert aptitude totally makes up for the fact that Sam, a total newbie to the Tron-o-verse, rarely knows what the hell he's doing. We had a chance to talk to Wilde about her amazing new Warrior Priestess role in the continuing chapter of a classic.
